R&D Manager - UPR; Unsaturated Polyester Resin

Education:

Masters or PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is essential.

• Minimum 15 years experience in the resins industry, with a significant portion dedicated to unsaturated polyester resins or similar thermosetting polymers. Experience in a leadership or managerial role is required.
• R&D and product development:
  Lead development of new UPR formulations tailored for specific applications such as composites, artificial marble, pipe grade, roofing sheet, boat grade, button grade, general purpose resins, SMC, etc. This includes innovating new products and optimizing existing products for improved performance in properties including heat resistance, stability, flame retardancy, and mechanical strength.
• Technical support and application testing:
  Serve as the primary technical expert for the company. Work with sales and marketing to provide technical consultation to customers, troubleshoot application issues, and conduct product testing.
• Quality and Process Optimization:
  Oversee quality control processes for production, testing methods, ensuring products meet international standards. Continuously seek to optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product consistency.
• Quality Assurance (QA) – Responsible for QA for the entire product portfolio of the company. Includes developing and executing SOPs related to QA as well as QA team management.
• Raw material testing – Validation and testing of existing and new raw materials to improve product performance and reduce costs.
• Manage a team of chemists and lab technicians.
