Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role in leading and managing mechanical engineering aspects for luxury residential projects. This position is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems while ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also manage project budgets, supervise teams, and facilitate communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

• Design and Project Planning
• Lead the preparation of MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings
• Oversee the MEP design process for company development projects ensuring alignment with project specifications
• Prepare BOQs for tender submissions in accordance with vendor lists and project requirements
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with local regulations, building codes, and quality standards
• Participate in technical meetings with design and supervision consultants
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to the site team for project execution
• Inspect and approve mechanical site installations to maintain high-quality standards
• Ensure project timelines are met and site works align with the overall construction schedule
• Implement site testing and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Act as a key liaison between the company, project stakeholders, and third‑party consultants
• Prepare and submit material submittals, material inspection requests (MIRs), and work inspection requests (WIRs)
• Ensure zero overdue compliance actions related to execution, quality, and documentation
• Develop and implement improvement methods to address engineering challenges
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with expertise in luxury residential projects. Proven experience in preparing MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing engineering teams and site installations.

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other mechanical engineering design software
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, building codes, and compliance standards
