Job DescriptionThe Power Transformer CoE Leader is responsible for leading the Power Transformer Center of Excellence, providing technical leadership across transformer services, repair and lifecycle management. The role focuses on driving best-in-class practices in on-site repair strengthening service capabilities and ensuring high quality execution of complex field activities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Power Transformer (PTR) Center of Excellence (CoE), ensuring alignment with business strategy, operational excellence and service growth objectives.
- Provide strong technical leadership in PTR, leveraging deep hands on experience across on site repair, testing, manufacturing and life cycle management.
- Drive and oversee on-site repair activities ensuring high quality execution, safety compliance and minimal downtime for customers. support complex site interventions and act as escalation point for critical cases.
- Be responsible for overall PTR engineering activities at tendering (ITO) and project execution (OTR) stage
- Support Commercial teams in complex technical discussions with customer.
- Lead technical coordination with GE internal supplying units
- Study and understand customer RFQ and tender requirement
- Preparation of Division of Responsibility between all internal/external stake holders and customer.
- Validating the overall technical solution before client submission
- If requires perform Site visits for data collection
- Provide technical support to field services team during site works
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Min 10 years’ experience in Power transformer industry engineering and services
- Deep technical expertise in power transformers and protection systems, with proven hands‑on experience in on‑site repair, troubleshooting, and lifecycle services, including root cause analysis and failure investigations.
- Excellent knowledge of IEC and CIGRE guidelines
- Advanced English
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Arabic would be an asset
