B2 Technician – Tim Aerospace Position Overview
3 – 5 years of experience in aircraft avionics electrical maintenance within MRO, base maintenance or heavy maintenance environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled and unscheduled avionics and electrical maintenance tasks during aircraft base maintenance checks.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace and test avionics and electrical systems and components.
- Carry out maintenance on communication, navigation, flight management, autopilot, lighting, warning, indication, cabin electronic and electrical power systems.
- Perform wiring inspections, continuity checks and EWIS-related maintenance activities.
- Support defect rectification, modifications, software loading and operational functional testing activities.
- Assist in component removal, installation and system checks under the supervision of Licensed Engineers where required.
- Interpret and follow AMM, IPC, WDM, FIM, TSM wiring diagrams, schematics and technical manuals.
- Accurately complete task cards, maintenance records and work documentation.
- Maintain tools, test equipment and work areas in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure compliance with SMS, Human Factors, tool control, FOD prevention and electrical safety procedures.
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, planners, stores and quality personnel to support maintenance chedules and aircraft delivery targets.
- Assist and support junior technicians and trainees when required.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in aircraft avionics electrical maintenance within MRO, base maintenance or heavy maintenance environment.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and technical manuals.
- Experience in troubleshooting, defect rectification and functional testing activities.
- Familiarity with avionics test equipment and maintenance tracking systems.
- Knowledge of EWIS and electrical safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aircraft delivery deadlines.
- Progress toward or holding EASA Part-66 B2 License.
- Experience on Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft types such as A320, A330, B737 or B777.
- EWIS, Human Factors and Fuel Tank Safety training.
- Familiarity with digital maintenance systems and electronic task cards.
- Aircraft software loading and configuration experience.
- Experience in multinational maintenance environments.
