Detailer - Steel

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel projects
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design documents
• Generate material take-offs, bills of materials (BOM), and cutting lists
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams to resolve design and detailing issues
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements
• Review and revise drawings based on comments from engineers, clients, and fabrication teams
• Maintain drawing records and document revisions accurately
• Assist in identifying fabrication and erection challenges and propose practical solutions
• Support project schedules by delivering detailing packages within deadlines

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Steel Detailer in structural steel detailing projects
• Proficiency in detailing software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, SDS/2, Advance Steel, or similar
• Strong understanding of structural steel connections, fabrication processes, and erection practices
• Familiarity with international standards and codes related to steel structures
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Good communication and coordination abilities
