Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Role Purpose

Produce a complete, accurate, biddable, and buildable set of plans for all the structures in a project, performed with the least possible manpower expenditures.

• Monitor sub-contracts after assessing the Trade Contractors’ capability to provide a quantity product as described under sub-contractor selection criteria.
• Responsible for the direct execution of the works in strict compliance with the contract specifications and requirements.
• Supervise the quality inspections and testing required by the quality procedures and supervise the procedures for inspection and testing materials.
• Coordinate between sub-contractors.
• Coordinate and follow up with site engineers and ensure that everyone on site is fully aware of his role in the construction activity.
• Ensure that all established HSE & Quality policies are administered and enforced in all areas.
• Report all violations and resolve on time.
• Effectively implement the HSE Management system as per HSE procedures.

• Graduate of Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
• Minimum 7 years of significant industrial, commercial, residential construction experience.
• 5 years of work experience in Gulf companies engaged in building construction.
• Competence in construction management skills, motivated, with strong leadership, able to encourage subordinates and other work groups to work as a team.
• Knowledge of civil and structural codes and other associated codes used in the project.
• Excellent technical background and skills in an industrial environment.
• Able to control a multi‑national workforce in a dynamic situation.
• Possess negotiation and influence skills, innovative, creative thinker, flexible and excellent organizer.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and interpersonal skills.
