Hook Up Specialist

What will you be doing?

Subsea7 is hiring a Hook Up Specialist in the Operations department. You will support and coordinate electrical and instrumentation hook‑up activities onshore and offshore, oversee vendor and subcontractor management, and maintain good client relationships.

You will develop technical requisitions for material and equipment, prepare the technical scope of work for subcontracted services, and, in the context of offshore hook‑up campaign preparation, develop job cards, material trackers, tie‑in lists, and all activity lists.

• Lead all relevant engineering documents (P&, loop checks, wiring diagrams, technical datasheets, cable schedule).
• Manage materials, job cards and bags & tags prior to offshore works.
• Implement all applicable procedures (hook‑up execution plan, safety and risk assessment, installation procedures).
• Develop interface requests, requests for information, and site queries to the final client when additional information is required.

• Report safety observations regularly to maintain high safety standard level at the work site.
• Lead site toolbox talks and be proactive in safety.
• Lead offshore surveys (tie‑in point identification, site routing, identify potential clashes).
• Provide inputs to update offshore planning (hook‑up sequences, physical progress).
• Prepare offshore material requests based on work sequences and schedule.
• Supervise electrical and instrumentation installation work at site, ensuring E&I subcontractor works according to Subsea7 safety and quality standards and client expectations.

• Engineering degree associated with Structural and Piping Engineering experience.
• Previous experience in topside E&I construction activities.
• Ability to propose decisions on technical items, resources, procurement.
• 10 years minimum of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of standard office software (MS Office, MS Project).
• Fluent in English language.
