Job Purpose
At the forefront of Emirates Engineering the Line Maintenance section plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our aircraft. This dynamic area manages both Line Maintenance and Aircraft Cabin Maintenance (ACM) working continuously with essential operational teams such as Flight Operations and Network Control. Our mission is to deliver efficient and reliable services that meet the demands of a busy commercial flight schedule.
Responsibilities- Assist senior staff in activities such as aircraft fuel handling, wheels & brakes servicing, nitrogen recharging, engine servicing and others as required.
- Carry out basic support servicing and component replacements of Emirates and third‑party aircraft as instructed and supervised by Licensed Engineers.
- Inspect all equipment before use to ensure it is fully operational and inform supervisor of any faults to be repaired.
- Maintain tools, equipment and systems, including Ultramain, in the relevant workplace.
- Maintain and ensure the safety of self and others by taking safety precautions at all times, continuously monitoring the working area and taking corrective action to keep it clean and obstruction‑free to avoid accidents.
- Work in cleaning aircraft engine parts in accordance with approved manual specifications.
- Assist during push‑back operation to ensure procedures are carried out efficiently and safely.
- Assist the Senior Mechanic/Aircraft Engineer for snag rectification and component change using special tools to keep aircraft fully operational and avoid delayed departures.
- Vocational National Higher National Diploma 122 or equivalent, or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent training with a reputable airline or approved maintenance organization.
- Ability to understand and handle hazardous chemicals and substances.
- Ability to read analogue and digital measuring devices related to pressure, temperature and flow.
- Must be able to hold a valid Airport Driving Permit if required.
- Adequate knowledge in aircraft maintenance practices.
- Full awareness of safety procedures.
- Sound knowledge of routine servicing ground equipment and ability to identify unserviceability and record for rectification.
- Knowledge of paint restoration artistic painting desirable.
