Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading Tier 1 contracting company in the UAE to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor coordination, material planning, and ensuring timely sourcing of construction materials and services.
Responsibilities- Manage procurement activities for high-rise construction projects in line with project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants for material and technical requirements.
- Review material specifications, BOQs, and technical documents prior to procurement.
- Source and evaluate vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
- Handle RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, and purchase order processes.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
- Coordinate with engineering and site teams for material approvals and technical clarifications.
- Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project standards, and contractual requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Candidates must have 8–13 years of procurement experience within contracting companies.
- Prior experience handling high-rise building projects is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, procurement processes, and supplier management is required.
- Experience in technical procurement and subcontractor coordination is essential.
- Candidates should possess strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills are required.
