About the Job:- Lead the development and delivery of transport planning strategies and traffic engineering solutions aligned with the portfolio of masterplans and TPD.
- Act as the primary point of coordination with RTA on approvals, studies, ensuring all work complies with RTA and Dubai Municipality standards.
- Support RTA cost-sharing matters, including securing internal and authority approvals. Track and release RTA cost-share payments, reporting status to management at least every two months. Maintain records of all RTA cost-sharing agreements and payouts.
- Direct the preparation and review of traffic impact assessments and studies to support new developments and masterplan changes.
- Provide technical guidance and quality oversight on traffic engineering inputs to wider infrastructure and master planning projects, identifying and managing related risks.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and government entities to integrate transport considerations early into project planning.
- Champion innovative and sustainable approaches to transport planning, including opportunities to improve network resilience and reduce environmental impact.
- Review all TPD requests related and limited to Land Use Changes, Amalgamation, Subdivision, Gate Levels, Plots Access, or Additional Access; review all MP plot access to match with approval TIS, ensuring professional and timely service to the clients.
- Create a system to identify all changes which to be submitted to RTA for TIS updates not less than 2 times per year for all active projects to avoid any TPD RTA NOC delays.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or Master's degree in the field of Transportation Planning / or Traffic Engineering preferred
- Minimum 8-10 years working experience in the Middle East.
- Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) Preparation & Review
- Ability to develop, evaluate, and approve traffic studies for new developments and masterplan changes. - Traffic Modelling & Simulation
- Proficiency in analysing traffic flow, capacity, and network performance to inform planning decisions. - RTA Approval & Cost-Sharing Processes
- Working knowledge of RTA submission requirements, approval workflows, and cost-sharing agreement administration. - Junction & Signal Design
- Technical capability in traffic signal timing, junction layout, and intersection capacity analysis. - Project & Budget Management
- Skilled in managing traffic engineering scopes within larger infrastructure projects, including timelines, budgets, and quality control. - Report Writing / Communication
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Technical Expertise in Transport Planning & Traffic Engineering
