Actuarial Consultant

Description

Milliman’s Dubai Health Practice is looking for an actuarial professional with more than 6 years of experience, a strong desire to expand actuarial skills, commitment to obtaining Fellowship, and a career goal of becoming an actuarial consultant.

• An undergraduate degree pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative coursework
• A minimum of 10 actuarial exams with a recognized professional actuarial organization – preferably Associate level reached
• Outstanding academic record
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power point etc.)

• Minimum 6 years of actuarial experience, with at least part of the experience in health-related work
• Superior math aptitude and strong analytical ability
• Experience with reserving and pricing techniques for health insurance products
• Working knowledge of actuarial concepts specific to health systems, such as utilisation vs cost, clinical coding systems, Diagnosis-Related Groupers, value-based healthcare etc
• Client facing experience, including drafting and reviewing of formal actuarial reports as well as presentation of technical content to senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal)
• Good organizational skills
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure
