Now, we’re looking for a dynamic Data Scientist to join our team at Dubai Silicon Oasis, where you'll lead the way in Credit Risk Models development and ensuring internal and regulatory standards are met.
- Develop, implement, and monitor risk models for retail and wholesale lending portfolio.
- To support Risk Analytics Vice President in efficient delivery against requirements set forth by Management as well as external regulators.
- Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection processes.
- Prepare the data to be used for modelling.
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Present information using data visualization techniques.
- Develop credit risk models for the wholesale and retail portfolios (e.g., credit decisioning, PD, LGD, EAD, IFRS9) ensuring modelling process meet internal and regulatory standards.
- Build business support models (collection, fraud analytics) and more broadly, predictive models for alternative modeling solution leveraging from statistical techniques using supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and ML models to build predictive models for early warning systems.
- Develop statistical models for AML (anti money laundering) purpose and conduct threshold tuning.
- Develop strategies to help portfolio grow by leveraging from risk scores with risk and return perspective.
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Banking, Engineering or other related areas
- At least 7 years hands on credit risk modelling experience
- At least 3+ years’ experience in team management
- Experience in statistical model development (including machine learning), using tools such as SAS, Python and R.
- Knowledge of risk modelling regulations such as Basel and IFRS9, MMSG regulations.
- Ability to generate insight from the data and make recommendations
