Key Responsibilities
Our client is a SME events business, with around 50-60 employees in the UAE. SALARY: AED 20-25k/month. We are searching for a Finance Manager - This is the most senior finance position in the company and would suit someone who is at mid-career level. You will oversee all accounting practices across the group of companies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls.
The role also partners closely with the CEO to support budgeting, cost control, profitability analysis, and informed financial decision-making.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, expense reports, and variance analyses for group and subsidiary entities.
- Manage 2 Accountants
- Oversee job costing and profitability tracking in service-led operations.
- Maintain accurate balance sheets and ensure timely reconciliations.
- Manage payroll, payment reviews, and insurance claims.
- Lead cash flow forecasting and management to support business operations.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other regulatory requirements.
- Drive supplier payment term negotiations and commission calculations.
- Liaise with auditors, outsourced accounting partners, and financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT legislation, and financial reporting.
- Experience in job costing, service-based financial analysis, and group accounting.
- Skilled in Xero, Quickbooks, or Zoho (or similar SME financial system).
- Strong grasp of financial planning, forecasting, and compliance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA advantageous).
- Minimum 7 years in accounting and financial management.
- At least 3 years in a Finance Manager level role.
- Track record in multi-entity accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel.
- Effective time management and prioritisation abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
