Job DescriptionThe Internal Auditor is responsible for conducting independent, objective assurance and consulting activities to add value and improve the Bahri & Mazroei Group’s operations. The role focuses on evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across group companies, while providing practical, value-added recommendations to management.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute risk-based audit plans for assigned engagements.
- Understand business processes, risks, and controls through planning and research.
- Perform audit procedures, including interviews, document reviews, and data analysis.
- Test and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
- Identify and assess financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Document audit findings, including root causes, risks, and recommendations.
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports for review by the Internal Audit Manager.
- Conduct closing meetings with process owners and management to agree on action plans.
- Perform follow-up audits to track corrective actions.
- Carry out special reviews and other duties assigned by the Internal Audit Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing (minimum).
- Postgraduate qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CIA (desirable).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to write audit reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to present information to senior management and departmental heads.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, ERP, and related software.
- Negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Experience ensuring adherence to SOPs and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the UAE.
- Valid UAE driving license.
