What you’ll deliver- You’ll be responsible for overseeing the processes within the GL and reporting function and ensure that chart of account maintenance, forex maintenance, manual journal entry preparation, reconciliations and financial reporting activities are completed in a timely and effective manner.
- You’ll provide continued guidance to the GL and Reporting team on routine central accounts responsibilities and transactions.
- You’ll review/approve – in line with the delegated levels of authority – relevant GL transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions posted in the system.
- You’ll supervise activities related to the preparation of provisions, accruals, prepayments and other entries for periodic and annual closing of financial accounts for DA are complete, accurate, and adequately supported.
- You’ll review trial balance and supervise the preparation of the organization’s periodic reporting pack and related financial statements.
- You’ll hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, commerce, finance, or related field. A certification in CA/CPA is preferred.
- You’ll have at least 5‑7 years of relevant & overall experience.
- You’ll have knowledge of Journal Posting, General Ledger & Sub Ledger reconciliation, preparation of GL reports, Trial Balance & Financial Statement close processes.
- You’ll have knowledge of IFRS, audits and standards, and statutory laws and regulations/implications.
