A fast-growing, founder-led investment and advisory platform (current AUM ~USD 800M, with a clear roadmap toward USD 2B+) is looking to hire a Director – Fund Accounting, Treasury & Compliance to anchor its finance function across jurisdictions.
The firm operates a sophisticated, multi-entity structure spanning Abu Dhabi (ADGM), Dubai (DMCC), Mauritius, Singapore and Mumbai, with a sharp focus on India-linked strategies, cross-border structuring and curated access to public and private markets. This is a high-impact leadership role in a lean, entrepreneurial setup.
Role overviewThis is a senior, hands‑on role that combines:
- Ownership of fund accounting across multiple vehicles (expert fund, advisory entities, SPVs).
- Multi‑currency treasury and liquidity management (INR, USD and other majors).
- Regulatory, compliance and control oversight in partnership with administrators, custodians, auditors and regulators.
You will work closely with the Founder and ADGM leadership to institutionalize finance, MIS and controls while preserving the firm’s boutique culture.
Key responsibilities- Lead end‑to‑end fund accounting: NAV calculations, reconciliations, pricing and periodic financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all fund and entity‑level transactions in line with accounting standards and fund agreements.
- Manage daily cash‑flow, liquidity planning, bank balances and short‑term deployments across entities and currencies.
- Oversee FX, payment settlements and treasury operations across India, UAE, Mauritius and other locations.
- Coordinate closely with custodians, fund administrators, prime brokers, auditors and tax advisors to resolve breaks and close books on time.
- Design and run robust MIS for the Founder and leadership: AUM, P&L, risk, treasury and capital‑usage dashboards.
- Strengthen internal controls and risk‑management frameworks to safeguard assets and ensure clean audit and regulatory outcomes.
- Support and oversee regulatory filings, inspections and ongoing obligations for ADGM, Mauritius and Indian entities.
- Partner with business leaders on new product / fund launches, cross-border structures and capital‑efficiency initiatives.
- 8–15 years of experience in fund accounting, investment management or capital markets finance, with clear exposure to funds, platforms or family offices.
- Strong grounding in mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity or similar pooled vehicles, including NAV and treasury flows.
- Background with fund administrators, custody banks, capital markets platforms or asset managers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA or CFA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, fund operations and regulatory frameworks.
- High proficiency in Excel and comfort with fund accounting / portfolio accounting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in lean, high‑ownership, boutique or entrepreneurial environments (not just large, siloed corporates).
- Prior exposure to Indian capital markets and cross‑border transactions is a strong advantage.
- Mature, hands‑on, solution‑oriented; able to work directly with founders and senior global advisors.
- Base: UAE (Abu Dhabi / Dubai).
- Close collaboration with teams in Mumbai and Mauritius, plus external partners in other jurisdictions.
