The International Tax Manager is responsible for managing tax planning, risk, and compliance for the Al-Futtaim Group on a global scale. The role involves implementing the Group Tax strategy, including ownership of tax planning, compliance, transfer pricing, tax accounting, and documentation. The manager works closely with businesses, service providers, and other tax professionals, particularly within the Group's tax and finance management, to ensure effective tax strategy execution.
TaxStrategy
- Manage the implementation of the Group Tax strategy from a planning, compliance, and risk management perspective.
- Build relationships and interact with stakeholders to provide tax advisory expertise on business transactions and acquisitions.
- Ensure correct and timely filing of Tax Returns based on specific tax calendars.
- Identify tax planning opportunities within the limits of tax risk management.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Manage the tax provision process and supervise tax balances on general ledger.
- Manage tax audits in collaboration with Business and external advisers.
- Ensure that Transfer Pricing Regulations are adhered to and ensure that transfer pricing documentation is maintained.
- Proficiency in tax technical skills and tax accounting.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proactive attitude and ability to be a team player with strong analytical skills.
- High motivation, energy, and attention to detail in work effort.
- Certified in Tax, Finance, or Accounting fields.
- 8-10 years of experience in an international tax environment, with industry experience regarded as a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong knowledge of MENA tax regulations is mandatory.
