ResponsibilitiesThe Open Market Sales Manager is responsible for delivering a variety of initiatives that support the International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) strategy. This includes applying a needs-based sales methodology across account acquisition, credit card offerings, and personal lending solutions. The position requires effective team leadership and close collaboration with both listed and non-listed companies to drive market expansion. Furthermore, the Open Market Sales Manager will coordinate service clinics, open days, and regular engagement sessions with corporate partners, thereby enhancing client relationships and reinforcing HSBC’s position as the banking partner of choice.
- Consistently deliver on team performance objectives across Acquisition (excluding Premier accounts), Revolving Credit (credit cards), and Borrowing (personal loans), while upholding exemplary standards in customer experience and sales quality.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to build and maintain strong relationships with designated portfolio companies, ensuring their banking needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Provide coaching and guidance to the team to proactively identify opportunities in Wealth Management, International Banking Corridors, and Private Banking, referring clients to the relevant business lines as appropriate.
- Ensure comprehensive coaching, mentoring, and support for all new joiners, working closely to achieve assigned KPIs across an expanding team.
- Uphold Group compliance standards and internal controls, maintaining a zero-tolerance approach to any form of misconduct.
- Promote a culture of outstanding customer service, operational excellence, and sustained productivity.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Complete understanding of the IWPB products, propositions and services, including the global service standards, and the ability to communicate this effectively to customers
- Proven experience dealing with and selling products and services to high net worth individuals
- Adept of developing a networking strategy and proven ability to achieve activity and outcome goals
- Knowledge of competitor activity, propositions and offers
