The VP of Finance Operations will be a cornerstone of the new Dubai international headquarters, responsible for building and leading the financial infrastructure that will support the Group’s global expansion. This role extends beyond traditional treasury to encompass accounting, tax, and strategic banking for all entities, ensuring financial control, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Lead International Finance Operations: Build and manage the accounting and tax functions for all international entities, ensuring statutory compliance and tax efficiency across all jurisdictions.
- Financial Control & Reporting: Oversee the financial closing process for all international entities, ensuring timely, accurate IFRS-compliant reporting and the development of robust financial controls.
- Strategic Banking & Treasury: Lead and develop strategic relationships with international banking partners to support global expansion, secure optimal financing, and manage credit facilities, guarantees, and trade finance.
- Global Liquidity Management: Own global cash management, multi-currency liquidity forecasting, and working capital optimisation, with a strong focus on managing the cash cycle from sourcing to retail.
- FX &
Risk Management:
Lead FX exposure management and develop hedging strategies to mitigate risk across a complex footprint of sourcing, manufacturing, and retail markets. - Tax Management: Develop and execute the international tax strategy of the group, ensuring full compliance with local tax regulations. Oversee transfer pricing policies between group entities, manage VAT/GST obligations, and work with external advisors to optimise the Group's global tax position whilst mitigating risk.
- Proven International Finance Leader: A senior finance professional with a strong background in both treasury and controllership, and a proven track record of setting up and running finance functions in new international markets.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of IFRS, international tax principles, and complex multi-currency, multi-entity consolidation.
- Retail/FMCG Background: Experience in a fast-paced, inventory-led business (fashion, retail, FMCG) is essential.
- Strategic & Hands-On: A leader who can operate at a strategic level with banks and auditors, but is also willing to be hands-on in building the function from the ground up.
