New Global Search - Development Finance Specialist (Family office/ Private Asset Manager/ Private Equity). Experience gained in Africa, or of African projects, required.

Seeking professionals with strong experience engaging Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) in Africa to support infrastructure and energy investments 🌍

This is a global role with frequent travel, for a high-profile family office based in the Middle East.

• Knows ESG and can meet DFI requirements in a common-sense, practical way
• Knows how to anchor debt
• Avoids concession or documentation traps that could limit project scope or any future refinancing
• Maintains clean governance
• Uses their experience to reduce the cost of capital

For the role of Development Finance specialist, you must have deep experience of how DFIs operate - commercially, institutionally and politically - and act as a highly credible, primary interface with IFC, AfDB, Proparco and other similar DFIs, representing the family office (asset management and private equity) across greenfield projects in Africa.

The right candidate will add 5-10% to expected annual returns on invested capital by improving debt structures, reducing financial risk, and making projects more bankable.
