Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead our finance department mainly from Construction/Contracting Background. Reporting to the executive leadership, the Finance Director will be responsible for the overall financial health, strategy, and management of Union Properties PJSC and its group of subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong background in the real estate sector, capable of driving financial performance, ensuring robust governance, and providing critical insights to support the company's long-term growth and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong leadership to the entire finance and accounting function, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning it with the overall business goals and long-range plans.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage capital structure, debt financing, and cash flow to optimise the company's financial position and support project development.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, providing rigorous analysis and challenge to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors on all financial matters, including investment analysis, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyse financial performance and market trends to provide strategic recommendations for enhancing profitability and shareholder value.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A recognised professional accounting qualification is mandatory (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Extensive senior-level experience in a financial leadership role, preferably as a Finance Director or Group CFO.
  • Proven track record within the real estate development, investment, or property management industry is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS, UAE corporate law, and financial regulations applicable to a Public Joint Stock Company (PJSC).
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, risk management, and capital allocation.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the board, senior management, and external partners.
