Head of Open Market Channels – 30401

With a strategy to have broader relationship with customers across various needs, Credit Cards and Banking Account serve as anchor products and create opportunities for the bank to meet broader customer needs in the future and expand relationship across other products. Open Market Channels will serve to these needs through a combination of in‑house open market team and managed oversight channel.
We are seeking a high calibre sales professional to join our team as Head of Open Market Channels.
- Meet performance expectations across Acquisitions – covering Revolving and Borrowing products, in addition to Experience and Quality KPIs
- Develop and deliver execution of our acquisition strategy through open market channels
- Define engagement model and approach towards business development for in‑house open market channel, that is; how to serve to non‑EWS (Employee Workplace Solutions) companies
- Meet HSBC standards for compliance and internal controls always
- Build high standards of customer service, efficiency and productivity
- Ensure in‑house open market channel to on‑board customers along with banking relationships (credit cards and banking account) and creating strong referral and fulfilment process through Credit Cards focused managed third‑party channel to deepen banking relationships
- Lead two open market channels, in‑house and managed oversight with up to 130 headcounts (may change based on business priorities)
- Build highly skilled and execution focused sales teams with strong daily sales governance covering model day, sales routines and choreography for all levels of sales teams
- Bring emphasis on coaching and sales teams’ trainings to drive skill building
- Own and implement IPP process effectively (Individual Performance improvement Plans)
- Keep effective MI for funnel monitoring and engaging stakeholders for funnel optimisation actions across process, product, policy and controls
- Deliver channel outcomes across KPIs covering key sales metrics incl. performance vs plan, recruitment and productivity
- Significant experience in leadership roles managing sales channels, esp. physical channels
- Ability to think strategically and have the technical ability to problem solve and think laterally to achieve key outcomes
- Focused and driven to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment
- Customer oriented, culturally sensitive and understanding of local customer needs
- Excellent relationship building and senior stakeholder management skills; success in the role depends on working effectively with multiple stakeholders, including both internal and external stakeholders with varying degrees of knowledge and expertise
- Able to navigate conflicting strategic priorities and decisions
- Able to operate effectively in a complex matrix driven environment
- Excellent communication skills are critical as well as superior listening / empathy skills given the highly interactive nature of the role and need to achieve buy‑in at many levels
- Able to demonstrate a high degree of credibility and ability to work effectively in multi‑cultural environment
- A graduation degree is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. If your university certificate is from outside the UAE, up‑to‑date attestations and equivalency are also mandatory (Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications Issued Outside The UAE)
