Risk Underwriter

• Perform detailed financial and non‑financial risk assessments to determine buyer creditworthiness.
• Monitor buyer performance, sector exposure, and regional developments to proactively manage risk.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Navigate limitations in regional financial disclosure by developing alternative information-sourcing methods.
• Provide clear, rationale‑based underwriting decisions within agreed service levels.
• Contribute to local and global portfolio strategy through market insights and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure underwriting practices adhere to Atradius standards, governance, and compliance requirements.
• Represent the risk team in meetings with customers and buyers when needed.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in credit underwriting, financial risk analysis, corporate banking, or trade credit insurance with emphasis on Middle Eastern markets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business
  , or related field.
• Strong analytical and financial statement interpretation skills.
• Ability to assess creditworthiness beyond published financials using interviews, market intelligence, and alternative data.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a strong advantage).
• Confident in engaging with senior management of corporates across diverse cultures.
• Proactive, curious, reliable, and solution-oriented mindset.
• UAE valid driving license preferred.
