The Group Finance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing financial strategy, governance strategic planning, performance management, investment monitoring and regulatory compliance across multiple subsidiaries and jurisdictions. The role ensures financial integrity, disciplined capital allocation, operation efficiency and sustainable value creation at group level.
The position acts as a strategic business partner to executive leadership, supporting corporate growth initiatives including investments, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and performance optimization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities 1-Strategic Financial Management- Lead group-wide financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Provide and interpret financial information to guide strategic decisions.
- Research and report on factors influencing business performance.
- Analyze competitors and market trends for informed planning.
- Oversee consolidated budgeting and forecasting processes across all entities.
- Monitor group P&L performance and analyze variances against budget and forecast.
- Develop KPI dashboards to track operational and financial performance.
- Improve reporting efficiency, automation and month-end closing processes.
- Evaluate proposed investments, CAPEX projects, acquisitions and new ventures.
- Assess the financial viability of projects using structured investment appraisal methodologies.
- Monitor post-investment performance against approved business cases.
- Ensure disciplined capital deployment and portfolio performance tracking.
- Review asset utilization and recommend optimization or divestment where necessary.
- Lead financial due diligence processes for acquisitions or divestments.
- Support integration of acquired entities, including systems and reporting alignment.
- Participate in debt restructuring, refinancing and capital structure planning.
- Assess financial risks associated with corporate transactions.
- Oversee preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Oversee internal controls, audit coordination and risk governance frameworks.
- Adhere to statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
- Present financial reports to senior management with insights and recommendations.
- Manage group cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Optimize working capital, including receivables, payables and inventory.
- Support banking relationships and financing negotiations.
- Monitor debt obligations and covenant compliance.
- Drive cost control initiatives across business units.
- Support supply chain finance, procurement optimization and efficiency programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and operational margins.
- Maintain an accurate fixed asset register and ensure proper depreciation methods.
- Monitor asset acquisition, disposal, and tracking processes.
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/ACCA preferred.
- 15+ years in finance, 5+ in managerial roles.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
- Proven experience in fixed assets management.
- Skilled in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in investment management, including project evaluation, CAPEX, and portfolio performance.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
- High integrity and commitment to ethical practices.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical mindset.
- Effective communicator with ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proactive, solution-focused, and results-driven.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Professional License: CPA, ACCA
- Experience:
15+ years in finance leadership roles including: - Strategic financial planning and analysis
- Investment monitoring and capital allocation
- Financial reporting, compliance and audit oversight
- Plus 5+ in managerial roles.
- International Exposure:
Experience in Africa or other international markets highly desirable.
