Accountant – Bullion

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with expertise in bullion operations to manage and oversee financial transactions related to gold, silver, and other precious metals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bullion trading, inventory management, and compliance with industry regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of bullion purchases, sales, and inventory.
• Reconcile daily bullion transactions with physical stock and accounting records.
• Monitor market rates and assist in pricing strategies for bullion products.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and ledgers related to bullion.
• Ensure compliance with VAT and other applicable tax regulations.
• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, procurement, warehouse) for bullion-related activities.
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions for bullion financing and transactions.
• Assist in audits and ensure proper documentation for bullion transactions.
• Implement and maintain internal controls for bullion handling and accounting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter or CMA preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in bullion operations.
• Strong knowledge of bullion trading, accounting standards, and inventory systems.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• Experience in a gold, diamond, or jewelry company.
• Familiarity with bullion vault operations and logistics.
• Understanding of international bullion markets and hedging practices.
