Job Purpose:
The job holder will be responsible for leading the financial reporting, statutory compliance, and audit coordination for the organization. The role ensures the integrity of the Chart of Accounts and GL structures, oversees the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, and contributes to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes. The position also provides strategic financial insights to senior leadership, maintains compliance with IFRS and internal policies, and supports enterprise‑wide financial governance and audit readiness.
Key Accountabilities:
Financial Objectives, Controls, and Reporting:
- Support the Head of Finance in translating departmental financial goals into actionable accounting strategies to ensure organizational stability and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the maintenance and governance of the Chart of Accounts (COA) and General Ledger (GL) hierarchies, including structural updates and alignment with Dubai Holding entity requirements.
- Lead the preparation and issuance of consolidated and standalone financial statements in line with IFRS, ensuring adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements across all DHRE entities.
- Review and present financial performance reports, highlight key variances, and recommend corrective actions to senior leadership for effective decision‑making.
- Deliver accurate and timely regulatory and governance reporting on a quarterly/half‑yearly basis, including non‑compliance reports with proposed resolutions.
- Manage ad‑hoc financial reporting needs for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and third‑party expectations.
Systems Oversight and Process Improvement:
- Act as a key finance lead in cross‑functional system enhancement projects, contributing to automation, digitization, and optimisation of financial reporting and accounting workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by aligning reporting frameworks with international best practices and evolving business needs.
Audit Management:
- Lead the planning, execution, and coordination of internal, external, government, and third‑party audits, ensuring data readiness and timely resolution of auditor queries.
- Oversee the implementation of audit action plans, including internal control reviews (ICR), ensuring complete documentation and tracking of audit findings to closure.
Policy, Compliance, and Governance:
- Develop and update financial accounting policies, processes, and SOPs to ensure strong internal controls and cost‑effective financial operations.
- Perform regular evaluations of financial compliance and reporting standards, recommending updates in line with regulatory changes and risk management priorities.
Advisory and Leadership:
- Serve as a key advisor on complex financial accounting matters, providing guidance on the interpretation and application of IFRS and internal policies.
- Build financial awareness across the team and broader organization through in‑house training sessions, mentoring, and ongoing support for issue resolution and knowledge transfer.
- Lead, coach, and support the performance and development of direct reports to ensure high team effectiveness and professional growth.

- Qualified ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) /CPA (Certified Public Accountant)/ ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
