We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sports Medicine Specialist to join our esteemed medical facility in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports medicine and be passionate about helping athletes and active individuals recover from injuries and improve their performance. The Sports Medicine Specialist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries.

This role demands a commitment to ongoing education and staying updated with the latest advancements in sports medicine practices.

Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with sports-related injuries and develop individualized treatment plans.

Collaborate with physical therapists, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Provide education on injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation techniques to patients and their families.

Administer and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies, to aid in the assessment of injuries.

Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in sports medicine to enhance patient care.

Participate in community outreach programs to promote health and wellness in the athletic community.

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation for all patient encounters.

Engage in continuous professional development and attend relevant conferences and workshops.

Advise athletes on nutritional and lifestyle choices that can enhance performance and recovery.

Work closely with sports teams and organizations to provide on-site medical support during events.

Preferred Candidate:

Medical degree with a specialization in sports medicine or a related field.

Board certification in sports medicine is highly desirable.

Proven experience working with athletes and active individuals in a clinical setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple cases simultaneously.

Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.

Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions.

Willingness to engage in community service and outreach initiatives.

Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
