Job Description:Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Simulation Technician to join their state-of-the-art medical simulation center. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining high-fidelity simulation equipment, supporting medical students and faculty during training sessions, and ensuring the smooth functioning of simulation-based learning activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and troubleshoot medical simulation equipment, including manikins, task trainers, and audio systems.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of simulation scenarios, ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement simulation scenarios that align with educational objectives.
- Monitor simulation sessions, providing technical support to ensure realistic and effective training experiences.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on simulation equipment to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an inventory of simulation supplies and ensure equipment is up-to-date and in proper working order.
- Provide orientation and training to faculty and students on the use of simulation technology.
- Document and report any equipment issues or incidents during simulation sessions.
- Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining medical simulation equipment.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences.
- Experience working in a medical simulation center or healthcare training environment.
- Knowledge of simulation software (e.g., Laerdal, CAE Healthcare).
- Certification in Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) or similar.
