Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Pharmacy Manager to lead and oversee pharmacy operations across multiple Glu Care facilities in the UAE, while also playing a key role in scaling Glu Care’s pharmacy model internationally as the organization expands.

This role combines hands‑on operational leadership, people management, and strategic planning, ensuring that pharmacy services consistently meet regulatory, clinical, financial, and patient‑experience standards across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pharmacy & Multi‑Facility Operations:
    • Lead and oversee day‑to‑day pharmacy operations across multiple Glu Care clinics, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant dispensing practices.
    • Standardize pharmacy workflows, SOPs, and quality standards across all facilities.
    • Monitor service levels, turnaround times, stock availability, and patient satisfaction.
    • Support facility‑level pharmacy teams to ensure consistent performance and adherence to Glu Care standards.
  • Regulatory & Clinical Compliance:
    • Ensure full compliance with DHA, MOHAP, and applicable international regulations.

      Lead preparation for audits, inspections, and licensing requirements across facilities.
    • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation, policies, and pharmacy records in line with regulatory standards.
    • Work closely with the Pharmacist‑in‑Charge (where applicable) to ensure patient safety and compliance.
  • People Management & Leadership:
    • Manage, coach, and develop pharmacy teams across locations, including pharmacists, assistants, and pharmacy operations staff.
    • Oversee staffing plans, rotas, performance reviews, and continuous professional development.
    • Support onboarding, training, and competency assessments for new pharmacy staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and collaboration.
  • Inventory, Procurement & Financial Oversight
    • Oversee procurement, stock planning, and inventory optimization across all facilities.
    • Monitor margins, cost control, supplier performance, and wastage reduction.

      Ensure accurate reporting on stock levels, consumption trends, and financial performance.
    • Collaborate with Finance and Operations on budgeting and cost optimization initiatives.
  • International Expansion & Scaling:
    • Support the setup and operational readiness of new pharmacy services in upcoming Glu Care facilities, including international locations.
    • Contribute to the development of scalable pharmacy models, SOPs, and operating frameworks suitable for global rollout.
    • Liaise with external stakeholders, suppliers, and regulatory bodies in new markets as required.
    • Provide subject‑matter expertise during feasibility planning and launch phases.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Clinical, Operations, Finance, Insurance, IT, and Supply Chain teams.

      Ensure pharmacy operations align with clinical pathways and patient‑care delivery models.
    • Provide regular updates on risks, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.

    Understands, follows and supports all hospital infection control programs to ensure patient and staff safety.

    Qualifications &

    Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (mandatory)
    • Valid DHA Pharmacist License
    • Minimum 5–8 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or multi‑site role.
    • Experience with in hospital, clinic, or outpatient pharmacy settings.
    • Exposure to healthcare scaling, multi‑facility operations, or international expansion is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance, and audit processes.
    • Experience in accreditations (especially JCIA).
