Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for children. The role focuses on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care abilities, and overall functional independence in pediatric patients.

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for pediatric patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on child-specific needs and goals
• Deliver therapy sessions targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and daily living skills
• Work with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities
• Educate and train parents/caregivers on home programs and progress strategies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, educators)
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress accurately
• Maintain clinical records in compliance with professional and regulatory standards
• Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Ensure a safe, child-friendly, and engaging therapy environment

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid DHA license
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with pediatric patients
• Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapy techniques
• Experience in sensory integration, fine motor development, and pediatric assessments
• Strong communication skills with children and families
• Patience, empathy, and child-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong observation, documentation, and time-management skills
