School Doctor

Evaluate,diagnose,consult,performhistoryandphysicalexam,andprovidetreatmentinageneralpractitionersetting/schoolclinicsetting. Conducting mandated health examination as instructed by the DHA (Dubai Health Authority), undertaking mandated health education programmes & vaccination drives.

• Demonstrate the knowledge and the ability to deal with surgical /medical emergencies within a school clinic setting.
• Provide preventative services, immunizations, health promotion, and guidance to students during wellness visits, routine care visits and acute care visits and mandated DHA healthassessments.
• Identify the indication and perform procedures appropriately for the stabilization of the patient in an emergency including anaphylaxis, choking, drowning, seizure, and cardiac arrests
• Management of Trauma in school setting. Performing stabilization until transfer to hospital facility e.g., c spine mobilization, initial fracture management, analgesia assessment.
• Understand and undertake children’s vaccinations according to the childhood vaccination schedule, mandated by the DHA
• Participate in mandated health education for students
• Be an integral part of health and safety and child safeguarding team
• IV cannulation & Venepuncture
• Management of student’s complex needs and ensure mandated IHCP’s are updated.
• Review of standing orders for medication, as per best practice
• If assigned as the medical director- the doctor is responsible for ethical medical practice, leadership role, act as the main contact for DHA
• Integrated practice along side the school’s senior leadership team
• Participation in nurse education and CPD
• Maintain effective relationship with parents, families, and local community- as per the DHA standards for school clinics
• Report all suspected or confirmed cases of communicable diseases as per the DHA
• Submit reports to DHA, Health Regulation & School Health Section & Public Health Protection Department in a timely manner
• Take an active role in identifying and reporting clinical risk and incident reporting
• Contributetostandardsettingwithintheorganization, of the school and KCH
• Effectively manage own time, workload and resources.
• Comply with the UAE medical health authorities’ requirements to maintain medical licence.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of computer-based patient records.
• Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of data management relating to students, carers, colleagues, and other healthcare workers.
• Assume other administrative or clinical duties as needed.
• Be willing to deputise and delegate when appropriate.
• The applicant will be expected to take an active role in teaching, and in the training of other clinical staff as appropriate.
• To contribute to regular CME events in the organisation.

• Maintain confidentiality of all organizational, patient, client, and employee information in accordance with policies and laws.

• UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA).
• MBBS & Master’s degree/Post Graduation/ Diploma in related specialty
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice in similar setup
• Resuscitation Certificate as per the specialty& Demonstrable ongoing and active CPD
• Supports quality patient care by showing empathy, maintaining patient dignity, and following proper protocols.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
