Physiotherapist Job Description
As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing top-quality care and assessments of patients requiring physiotherapy treatment. Your job will involve diagnosing injuries, developing individualized treatment programs, using physical methods to treat injury and disease and improving patients’ physical functioning and range of movement. You will also be required to make recommendations to enhance physiotherapy services, provide emergency care to patients, and attend annual resuscitation training.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care and assessments of patients requiring physiotherapy treatment
- Use knowledge and skills to improve patients’ physical functioning and range of movement
- Formulate and deliver an individualized treatment program based on evidence-based practice and treatment options, using clinical assessment, reasoning skills, and knowledge of various treatment models
- Ensure appropriate referral of patients to other professionals and services using established protocols and pathways
- Assist in the development and education of treatment programs
- Make recommendations to enhance physiotherapy services
- Provide emergency care to patients as necessary and attend annual resuscitation training
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with diverse or complex healthcare needs
- Demonstrate clinical expertise for treatment management and recognize areas for improvement
The ideal candidate should possess a Graduate Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy recognized by Dubai Health Authority or Health Authority of Abu Dhabi or Ministry of Health UAE, appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of Physiotherapy, ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff, certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support, fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Arabic speaking skills will be an added advantage. Excellent computer literacy skills are required, and publications in peer-reviewed journals will be well regarded.
