BRC Arabia is looking for a proactive and safety‑driven Safety Officer to support and strengthen workplace health, safety and environmental standards across our industrial operations in Dubai. The role profile is aligned to an industrial safety function focused on regulatory compliance, inspections, risk control, emergency preparedness, training and safe execution of site and factory activities.
Responsibilities- Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements across the workplace and promote a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.
- Conduct routine site and factory safety inspections, identify hazards and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and review risk assessments, safety observations and control measures for operational activities.
- Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, identify root causes and support timely reporting and action closure.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and awareness sessions to employees, contractors and visitors.
- Support emergency preparedness by coordinating drills, evacuation exercises and readiness of emergency and firefighting equipment.
- Monitor workplace practices, housekeeping standards, PPE usage and safe execution of operational maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, incident logs, training records and management updates.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and support inspections or interactions with relevant external authorities when required.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in site safety procedures, safety communication and compliance practices.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement effective safety training programs tailored to the specific needs of the workforce, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Collaborate with management to create and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring all personnel are prepared for any potential crisis.
- NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s qualification in HSE, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing setup is required.
- Strong knowledge of safety inspections, hazard identification, incident investigation, emergency response and workplace risk control.
- Familiarity with HSE management systems, safety procedures and applicable local regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with shop‑floor teams, supervisors and contractors.
- Strong report writing, documentation and MS Office skills.
- A hands‑on, observant and disciplined approach with a clear commitment to safe work practices.
