Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivatedNetwork Engineerto design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, troubleshooting, and optimization, with a focus on ensuring high availability, security, and performance of network systems. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions for management review.
  • Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.
• Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support network-related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering or administration.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto) and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and unified communications systems.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
• Certifications(Preferred):
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • CompTIA Network+, Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA), or equivalent.
  • Certifications in network security (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
