As an IP/MPLS Network Engineer, you will provide advanced technical expertise in IP/MPLS technologies, troubleshoot critical issues, and lead integration testing and validation. You will work extensively with Cisco ASR 9000 and NCS series platforms running IOS‑XR, ensuring robust routing architectures and MPLS service deployments. The role also involves managing network monitoring tools, alarm systems, and applying best practices for traffic engineering and QoS.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver deep technical expertise in IP/MPLS technologies (BGP, OSPF, EVPN, MPLS, multicast, QoS).
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex IP/MPLS network issues.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Lead FAT, integration testing, and post‑deployment validation in multi‑vendor SP environments.
- Manage Cisco EPNM, Cisco ISE, SNMP, and network monitoring tools.
- Apply strong knowledge of SP network design, SR‑TE, VPN services, and MPLS deployments.
- Work extensively with Cisco ASR 9000 and NCS series platforms running IOS‑XR.
- Mandatory: CCNP Service Provider certification.
- Preferred: CCIE Service Provider certification.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Service Provider networks.
- Expertise in SR‑TE, QoS, VPNs, multicast, and MPLS technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in multi‑vendor SP environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for network operations.
- Knowledge of advanced traffic engineering and resiliency strategies.
- Exposure to network security best practices in SP environments.
- Ability to manage large‑scale deployments under tight timelines.
