Telecommunication Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Telecommunications Assistant to support the installation, maintenance, and coordination of our company’s communication systems. You will serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware and software issues while assisting with the administrative side of vendor management and equipment inventory.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who understands the importance of seamless connectivity in a modern business environment.

• Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of VoIP phones, mobile devices, and video conferencing equipment.
• Perform routine checks on telecommunications systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Manage service requests, track equipment inventory, and maintain accurate records of user accounts and extensions.
• Coordinate with external service providers for repairs, installations, and billing inquiries.
• Provide basic training and "how-to" documentation for staff on new communication tools and software.
• Maintain diagrams and logs of wiring, port assignments, and hardware locations.

• High School Diploma required;
  Associate degree in IT, Telecommunications, or a related field is a plus.
• 1–2 years of experience in technical support, IT, or a telecommunications-heavy administrative role.
• Familiarity with VoIP and PBX systems.
• Basic understanding of networking (cabling, routers, switches).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Physical Ability: Must be comfortable handling equipment and cables (may require occasional lifting or working under desks).
