Job Title Senior SAP Ariba CIG & Integration

Senior integration consultant role focused on SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) and SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network, supporting a large enterprise with a complex, highly customized SAP landscape.

The consultant will work on end-to-end Ariba integrations with SAP S/4

HANA using CIG and managed gateway and will use SAP BTP Integration Suite where additional APIs, mediation, or custom integrations where required. The environment has stringent security and compliance requirements, and high volumes of procurement and invoicing traffic.

Core Ariba CIG/ Managed Gateway Background

• 8+ years overall SAP integration experience, with 4‑5+ years focused on Ariba CIG & SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for Spend Management and SAP Business Network.
• Practical experience integrating SAP Ariba solutions (Buying & Invoicing, Sourcing, Ariba Network) with S/4
  
  HANA through CIG / managed gateway.
• Hands‑on work with:
• CIG / managed gateway project and tenant setup, connectivity, and monitoring.
• CIG mappings, parameterization, and configuration to meet customer specific process and data requirements.
• Ariba Network and related integration objects (master data sync, transactional documents, cXML, etc.).

• Strong experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI): design and implementation of iflows, mappings (XML/JSON), Groovy scripts, exception handling, and value mappings.
• Background building REST/SOAP/OData APIs around CIG/managed gateway to support custom integration requirements and complex orchestration scenarios.
• Exposure to performance tuning and optimization for high-volume procurement integrations (throughput, message size, monitoring).

Solid understanding of integration security:

• TLS/HTTPS, certificates, keystores, trust configuration.
• Secure connectivity options between on-premises SAP systems and cloud services.

Role‑based access control and authorization concepts across SAP and Ariba landscapes.

• Experience working in audit‑sensitive or regulated environments (public sector, utilities, banking or similar).

• Good knowledge of SAP MM / Procurement processes and their integration touchpoints with Ariba (master data, POs, invoices, contracts, etc.).
• Comfort working with multiple technologies and formats: IDoc, Proxy, cXML, EDI, SOAP, REST, OData, XML, JSON.
• ABAP debugging skills for Ariba integration add‑ons / exits are an advantage.
• Experience in large, highly customized SAP environments with multiple stakeholders (IT, business, external partners).
• Strong communication skills to explain integration options and constraints to functional teams and management.
• Structured, documentation‑oriented approach to integration design, configuration, and support.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Preferred.
• SAP Ariba Integration / CIG / Managed Gateway certification and SAP Integration Suite / CPI certification.
• Relevant SAP Ariba functional certifications (Buying & Invoicing, Sourcing, etc.).
