Job Overview
The IT Support Specialist maintains business productivity by resolving technical issues for on-site and remote users. This role manages attendance systems, ensures IT policy compliance, and leads AI-driven projects to automate manual workflows. You will balance proactive hardware/software maintenance with digital innovation to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Providing IT assistance to both internal office users and remote employees
- Training end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
- Knowledge of Firewalls, Network Printers and Wi-Fi access points
- Knowledge in Google Workspace, Outlook, Windows and MacOS
- Perform daily audits of attendance logs to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Generating weekly/monthly attendance compliance reports and identifying patterns of recurring technical issues that affect clock-in/out
- Having experience in CCTV and Access control systems
- Manage the lifecycle of staff credentials, including biometric registration and issuance
- Act as the internal "AI Champion" by providing training on AI tools to improve departmental productivity
- Monitoring hardware, software, and system performance metrics
- Updating computer software, as well as upgrading hardware and systems
- Maintaining databases and ensuring system security
- Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests
- Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support
- Troubleshooting PDA devices, laptops, PCs, printers
- First line of fixing/repairing devices before sending them to vendors for higher level of repair
- Develop a network of vendors for IT and can minimize costs for IT Infrastructure
- Find local vendors for all IT-related procurement
- Reduce the cost of printing in the operations
- Weekly asset audits and the IRs for the slightest damage to the asset
- Setup a backup network at all time
- Bachelor’s degree in computer information technology
- Minimum 2 years of UAE experience
- UAE driving license is mandatory
- Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician
- Knowledge of Attendance management systems and Access control systems
- Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues
- Ability to travel and work, after hours when necessary
- Excellent communication skills
