IT Manager - Infrastructure & Network Background; Hands

• The IT Manager – Infrastructure is the senior (Rotational - Fly-in / Fly-out) technology leader responsible for the hands-on delivery, commissioning, and operation of infrastructure IT systems in a mining project environment
  . This role requires a technically strong, delivery-focused leader with direct, practical experience in mining operations and project sites
  , capable of mobilizing and managing large-scale IT infrastructure in complex greenfield or brownfield settings.
• This position combines deep technical expertise and on-site execution with strong project governance. The IT Manager acts as the primary interface between site leadership and corporate or global IT teams
  , ensuring that infrastructure IT solutions (networks, data centers, communications, end-user computing, and OT interfaces) directly support construction activities, operational readiness, safety, and business continuity.

This role is strictly focused on infrastructure IT and requires hands-on experience within mining environments and willing for fly-in / fly-out rotational duty (6weeks on / 3 weeks off).

• Infrastructure IT Only: Networks (WAN/LAN/WLAN), data centers, servers, storage, end-user computing, communications, and site connectivity.
• Hands-On Delivery: Active involvement in design validation, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of IT infrastructure.
• Mining Environment: Proven experience working on active or developing mining sites, including exposure to remote locations, harsh operating conditions, and integrated IT/OT environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in IT management or a related role.
• Mandatory hands-on experience delivering IT infrastructure for mining projects or mining operations.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery, Project management and budget management.
• Proven experience implementing and managing IT services aligned with industry best practices.
• Cloud & Storage – MCSE, CCNA or similar.
• Hardware – Cisco UCS, Dell.
• Project management skills – PMP, Prince2 or similar.
• Vendor Management, budget, and financial acumen.

• Strong practical knowledge of mining site IT infrastructure
  , including remote connectivity, camp and plant networks, and operational communications.
• Ability to work directly on-site, resolve issues hands-on, and lead by example in challenging mining conditions.
• Deep understanding of the interaction between IT and OT systems in mining operations.
