The Business Analyst (Technology) supports the execution of AMANA’s innovation agenda by evaluating construction technologies and digital solutions, translating internal business needs into clear requirements, and supporting informed technology adoption decisions.
Working within the Innovation Division, the role focuses on construction technology, digital platforms, and emerging solutions. The position bridges technology vendors and startups with internal stakeholders, ensuring that selected solutions are relevant, practical, and aligned with AMANA’s operational realities.
- This is a delivery-oriented role suited to a professional with 3–4 years of industry experience, combining analytical thinking with strong stakeholder engagement.
- Support the execution of AMANA’s digital and construction technology strategy by contributing structured analysis, insights, and recommendations.
- Maintain awareness of Prop Tech and Con Tech market developments to inform innovation priorities and opportunity identification.
- Assist Innovation leadership in evaluating how emerging technologies can support productivity, coordination, and decision-making across projects.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, option assessments, and decision papers that support informed investment and adoption decisions.
- Research, assess, evaluate, and monitor emerging Prop Tech and Con Tech solutions relevant to construction, engineering, and project delivery.
- Engage with technology vendors, startups, and solution providers to understand product capabilities, maturity, and roadmaps.
- Evaluate technologies against defined criteria including functionality, scalability, integration effort, data architecture, and operational fit.
- Define and document digital use cases, functional requirements, and non-functional requirements to support technology selection and configuration.
- Support technology pilots, proofs of concept, and controlled trials, including definition of success criteria and KPIs.
- Work with engineering, construction, operations, IT, and commercial teams to understand operational pain points and workflow challenges.
- Translate business and project needs into clear, digital use cases and structured user requirements.
- Document workflows, user journeys, and success criteria to support effective implementation and adoption.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities to ensure tools meet user and project needs.
- Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data from pilots and technology initiatives to assess performance and value.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external technology partners throughout evaluation and adoption phases.
- Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Support onboarding and adoption of new digital tools through documentation, guidance, and training coordination.
- Identify barriers to adoption and recommend improvements, configuration changes, or process adjustments.
- Support assessment of risks associated with new technologies, including data security, integration complexity, and operational impact.
- Ensure recommended solutions align with internal governance, IT standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Ability to structure problems and assess options objectively.
- Strong interest in construction technology, digital platforms, and software-enabled workflows.
- Solid understanding of construction, engineering, and project delivery processes.
- Clear and confident communicator across internal and external audiences.
- Understands how technology supports operational outcomes.
- Produces clear documentation, summaries, and recommendations.
- Comfortable working across multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in a business analysis, technology, innovation, or digital delivery role.
- Exposure to construction, engineering, or industrial environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience engaging with software vendors, startups, or technology providers is an advantage
