About the Role

We are undergoing a significant global transformation of our Solutions Architect team and are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pre-Sales Manager to lead this exciting initiative. This is a critical role that will shape the future of our technical sales organization, driving the development of a world-class Solutions Architect team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and managing successful Solutions Architect teams, a customer-centric approach, and a passion for driving change.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and shape strategic technology transformations:
    Drive executive-level presales engagements for cloud, data, OT, IoT, and AI/ML initiatives. This includes translating customer visions into actionable roadmaps, leading complex architectural discussions, and ensuring successful, scalable enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Team Development & Mentorship:
    Develop and mentor a high-performing team of Solutions Architects across multiple regions. This includes providing coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance their technical and sales skills.
  • Performance Management:
    Establish clear performance metrics and expectations for the Solutions Architect team. Regularly monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    Lead the recruitment and onboarding of new Solutions Architects, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement best practices for Solutions Architect engagement, including pre-sales activities, technical presentations, proposal development, and customer relationship management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate closely with sales, product management, engineering, and other teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Customer Focus:
    Foster a customer-centric culture within the Solutions Architect team, emphasizing the importance of understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional service.
  • Global Alignment:
    Ensure consistent standards and processes are implemented across all regions, while also considering local market nuances.
  • Budget Management:
    Manage the budget allocated to the Solutions Architect team effectively.
  • Reporting and Analytics:
    Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on team performance and progress towards transformation goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven technology leader with 15+ years’ experience on one or more of the following cloud, data, OT, IoT, AI/ML transformation initiatives across industrial, manufacturing, energy, and utilities sectors.
  • Executive‑level presales strategist skilled in shaping customer vision, influencing roadmaps, and leading complex architectural engagements across distributed, scalable, enterprise-grade systems.
  • Proven experience leading and managing successful Solutions Architect or similar technical sales teams.
  • Strong business acumen with hands‑on experience in one or more of the following; M&A due‑diligence, product strategy, technology governance, and translating customer requirements into win‑themes, value propositions, and successful solution outcomes.
  • Accomplished presenter and recognized thought leader, frequently engaging C‑suite audiences, industry forums, and customer leadership teams to articulate vision, trends, and the business impact of emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
