Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced API / Integrations Specialist to design, develop, and manage integrations between internal insurance systems and external partner platforms. The role focuses on enabling secure and reliable data exchange between core insurance systems, digital channels, brokers, payment gateways, and third-party services.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API integration, system interoperability, and enterprise application integration
, preferably within the insurance or financial services domain
. API integration specialists typically design and maintain connections between systems to enable smooth data flow and functionality across platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain API integrations between internal systems and external partners
. - Integrate core insurance systems, policy administration platforms, CRM, payment gateways, and broker portals
. - Develop and support RESTful and SOAP APIs for internal and third‑party integrations.
- Collaborate with business teams, vendors, and IT teams to gather integration requirements.
- Ensure secure data exchange using authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, or SSO
. - Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance of APIs and middleware.
- Create and maintain API documentation and integration architecture diagrams
. - Monitor API performance, logs, and system reliability.
- Support digital initiatives such as mobile apps, web portals, and partner integrations
. - Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements
.
- Strong experience with API development and integration (REST, SOAP).
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, and web services
. - Experience with middleware or integration platforms (Mule Soft, Dell Boomi, WSO2, Apigee, etc.).
- Familiarity with authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT).
- Hands‑on experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or API gateways
. - Understanding of microservices architecture and system integration patterns
. - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL / No
SQL).
- Experience working in Insurance, Banking, or Financial Services
. - Integration experience with:
- Policy Administration Systems
- Claims systems
- Payment gateways
- Broker / partner portals
- Exposure to insurance digital platforms or Insur Tech ecosystems
.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
. - 4–8 years of experience in API development or system integration roles.
- Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
- Knowledge of Dev Ops / CI‑CD pipelines for API deployment
. - Experience with insurance platforms or policy systems
.
