Job Purpose
QA Lead will lead and manage quality of the software output through manual and automated test scripts, develop, coordinate, communicate and enforce testing schedules and critical deliverables. QA Engineer will own the test and quality assurance processes for Mobile Banking Project.
Key Result Areas- Drive the project test strategy, test planning and efforts.
- Perform end-to-end functional testing for SIT phase of the mobile banking application.
- Own the process during test periods where functionality is tested across several surrounding applications and devices.
- Be an active participant in requirement analysis/gathering and planning to ensure that acceptance criteria are testable.
- Collaborate with developers, SMEs and product owner while requirements gathering/discussion, bringing input from testing perspective.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting timelines while adhering to process and contributing to process improvements.
- Maintain traceability of testing activities.
- Estimate effort for testing tasks.
- Define the test approach for each release.
- Design and create test cases and test data.
- Write and execute test cases manually / automated.
- Collaborate with automation and performance test team to build/execute regression test packs.
- Collaborate closely with developers, identifying, logging, prioritizing and verifying defects in a defect tracking system.
- Run defect triage calls.
- Coordinate with different vendor partners to ensure testing schedule and timelines are met.
- Manage and maintain the test environments.
- Play a key role in defining best practices for testing.
- Continuous improvement initiatives specifically with regard to quality.
- Manage and maintain the regression test suites (manual / automated).
- Own the sign-off (SIT) process for each release.
- Works within a multidisciplinary team or in an environment in which multidisciplinary teamwork is carried out.
- Job responsibilities include testing and validating the quality of the software output through manual/functional testing, coordinating, communicating and enforcing testing schedules and critical deliverables.
- The range of tasks includes owning the test and quality assurance processes; writing and maintaining test cases and test data; driving the project test strategy and test planning; performing integration testing for each release; maintaining traceability of testing activities; running defect triage calls; and coordinating with vendor partners to ensure testing schedules and timelines are met.
