Data Scientist​/AI Engineer Intern

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s Degree (or final year of a Bachelor’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Availability for a 6‑month internship, ideally as part of an end‑of‑studies academic requirement.
• Hands‑on experience through internships, research, or personal projects involving data or AI systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL, and a solid understanding of data engineering, statistics and analytical concepts.
• Foundational knowledge of machine‑learning techniques including classification, regression and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM systems, including API integrations, workflows and performance monitoring.
• Basic exposure to cloud environments (AWS preferred), including storage (S3) and compute services.
• Understanding of data pipelines, APIs and data ingestion processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to data accuracy and validation.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into business insights.
• Highly organised, able to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• A proactive, ‘can‑do’ attitude with a passion for building real‑world AI solutions.

• Design, build and deploy AI and data‑driven solutions that impact marketing, revenue and guest experience.
• Develop conversational AI agents (web‑based and Whats App) to automate guest interactions such as restaurant reservations.
• Engineer marketing intelligence systems that analyse advertising data (Meta, Tik Tok, Google) to generate actionable recommendations.
• Support hotel revenue optimisation by modelling demand, occupancy trends and real‑time market data.
• Build and enhance machine‑learning recommendation engines to deliver personalised guest experiences and offers.
• Own a core project end‑to‑end, from problem structuring and technical design to deployment and iteration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, model performance and reliability through testing, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development of data pipelines, APIs and scalable infrastructure.
• Present insights and technical outputs in a clear, structured and business‑relevant manner to stakeholders.
