Complex Assistant IT Manager

As an Assistant IT Manager, you are responsible for supporting the IT Manager in overseeing the hotel’s technology infrastructure and ensuring all systems operate efficiently and securely. You play a vital role in supervising IT support operations, implementing system upgrades, maintaining cybersecurity measures, and coordinating with departments to address their technology needs. Demonstrate leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Your role is crucial in delivering uninterrupted IT services and enhancing operational productivity across the property.
- Supervise daily IT operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues
- Support and coordinate with the IT team in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems
- Assist in managing server systems, data backups, and disaster recovery plans
- Monitor hotel systems (PMS, POS, keycard access, CCTV, etc.) to ensure smooth functionality
- Enforce IT policies and ensure compliance with data security standards
- Coordinate with vendors for system upgrades, licensing, and support services
- Oversee IT inventory, asset tagging, and procurement planning
- Assist in onboarding new employees with system access, email setup, and IT orientation
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all IT equipment
- Provide technical support during hotel events, meetings, or conferences
- Participate in system audits and recommend improvements for efficiency and security
- Train and guide junior IT team members to ensure high standards of service and knowledge
- Maintain thorough documentation of IT systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Report system risks, incidents, and performance updates to the IT Manager
- Assist in budgeting and strategic planning for the department’s technology requirements
- All colleagues must assess situations and react accordingly through analysis and perspective.
- All colleagues must be flexible and able to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the scope of their job, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
- All colleagues should be visible and available to both guests and colleagues, in accordance with their position, and serve as an example for others.
- All colleagues are required to comply with any reasonable request from their supervisor(s) within a reasonable timeframe, under normal circumstances.

- All Colleagues must ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.

- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel
