Data Governance Expert; Qlik & Talend

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define, implement, and manage data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across enterprise data platforms
• Work with Qlik (Qlik Sense, Qlik Replicate) for data integration, transformation, and reporting
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Talend (ETL/ELT processes)
• Establish and monitor data quality rules, profiling, and validation processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, and governance models
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements (GDPR, local regulations)
• Maintain metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging
• Identify and resolve data-related issues, inconsistencies, and gaps
• Support data migration, integration, and transformation initiatives
• Create governance dashboards and reports for leadership using Qlik tools

• Strong experience in Qlik Sense and Qlik Replicate
• Hands‑on experience with Talend (Talend Data Integration / Talend Data Fabric)
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
• Experience in data profiling, data quality tools, and data governance frameworks
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
• Knowledge of data cataloging and metadata management tools

• Understanding of data governance principles (DAMA‑DMBOK preferred)
• Experience in defining data standards, policies, and procedures
• Familiarity with data privacy laws and compliance frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Certification in Data Governance / Data Management (DAMA, Collibra, etc.)
• Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise data environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
