Senior Specialist - Power BI Developer/Reporting
Deep Light AI is a specialist AI and data consultancy with extensive experience in designing intelligent enterprise systems for a variety of industries, including financial services and banking.
Responsibilities- Design and build intuitive, high‑performance Power BI dashboards and interactive reports that track cybersecurity metrics, threats and compliance health.
- Construct robust data models, DAX measures and Power Query (M) transformations to aggregate disparate security data sources into a unified reporting layer.
- Collaborate closely with cybersecurity engineers, risk analysts and senior management to translate business questions into technical reporting specifications.
- Establish validation processes to ensure the absolute integrity and accuracy of all automated security reporting, mitigating the risk of reporting errors.
- Drive internal adoption of developed reporting tools by conducting training sessions and creating documentation for end‑users across the bank.
- Model exceptional standards of analytical precision, design clarity and professional accountability to support Deep Light’s engagement footprint.
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in business intelligence, data analytics or reporting roles, with a strong emphasis on Power BI.
- Practical experience operating within a regulated banking environment, ensuring data handling adheres to strict internal privacy and security protocols.
- Prior experience in a client‑facing professional services or consultancy capacity, managing delivery timelines and client expectations.
- Documented experience connecting Power BI to varied enterprise data structures, including SQL databases, cloud warehouses (Azure/AWS) or security platform APIs.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, gateway architectures and row‑level security (RLS) implementations.
- Strong capability in designing star schemas, managing relationships and writing complex, optimised DAX expressions for large datasets.
- Ability to comprehend, structure and analyse technical security datasets (e.g. vulnerability metrics, incident logs, asset inventories).
- Exceptional data visualisation skills, with a proven ability to present dense, complex data clearly and cleanly to non‑technical executives.
- Capacity to handle feedback from multiple senior business units and prioritise competing reporting requests effectively.
- Microsoft Certified:
Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or other advanced cloud data analytics credentials. - Basic familiarity with Python or R for advanced data manipulation and statistical analysis within Power BI.
- Conceptual understanding of standard security metrics and risk indicators (e.g. NIST, CIS Benchmarks).
- Experience integrating Power BI with Power Automate to drive automated email or chat alerts based on metric thresholds.
