IT Network & Cyber Security Engineer
Position Summary
The IT Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing and maintaining the company s enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations. This role requires an expert-level understanding of complex network systems, cybersecurity principles, routing, switching and network performance optimization. The ideal candidate will act as a technical leader ensuring continuous availability, resilience and scalability of all network components. This position plays a key role in maintaining uninterrupted business continuity for critical operational systems supporting manufacturing, ERP, plant automation, OT/ICS communications and corporate services.
Key Responsibilities- Network Infrastructure Management: design, implement and maintain LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN and wireless networks; configure and manage routers, switches and firewalls; ensure high availability through redundancy and failover mechanisms; manage structured cabling and industrial network connectivity.
- Cyber Security IT/OT Environment: implement and monitor cybersecurity controls across IT and plant networks; manage firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco), IDS/IPS systems; endpoint protection (EDR) solutions; ensure network segmentation between IT and OT/ICS SCADA systems; conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management; monitor logs and security alerts using SIEM tools.
- Manufacturing OT/Operational Technology Support: support industrial control systems (ICS, SCADA, PLC networks); ensure secure connectivity for production systems and automation equipment; plant monitoring tools; collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and cyber risks.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: monitor network performance using tools such as PRTG, Solar Winds; perform root cause analysis for network security incidents; provide L2/L3 support for network and security issues; maintain uptime for critical systems (ERP, MES, production).

Risk Management:
ensure compliance with ISO
27001, IEC
62443 and other industrial cybersecurity standards; maintain documentation, network diagrams, SOPs and security policies; support internal and external IT audits. - Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: implement and test backup, disaster recovery and failover strategies; ensure business continuity for manufacturing operations.
- Vendor & Project Coordination: coordinate with vendors for network upgrades, security implementations; support IT projects including digital transformation initiatives.
5–7 years of relevant experience.
Must have experience in manufacturing / industrial environment.
Hands‑on exposure to OT/ICS networks is highly preferred.
Certifications (Preferred)- Cisco CCNA / CCNP
- Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto certifications
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH
- ISO
27001 (basic knowledge or certification)
- Networking:
Routing & Switching (Cisco / Fortinet / Juniper); VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS; wireless networks (enterprise level); firewall configuration & policies; IDS/IPS; SIEM tools; endpoint security & antivirus solutions; network segmentation & Zero Trust concepts. - Manufacturing Systems:
Basic knowledge of SCADA, PLC communication networks, industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC).
