Senior Database Administrator

• Deep expertise in Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c administration
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Architecture (SGA, PGA, Background Processes)
• Expert-level SQL and PL/SQL programming
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
  Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) configuration and administration
• Oracle Data Guard (Physical and Logical Standby)
• Performance Management:
  Performance Tuning (SQL tuning, instance tuning, database tuning, AWR analysis, ADDM interpretation)
• Security & Access Control:
  Database security implementation and auditing;
  User and privilege management (roles, profiles, privileges);
  Database Vault (preferred)
• Database Operations:
  Patch management and upgrade procedures;
  Database migration (version upgrades, platform migrations)

• Experience with Oracle Exadata or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate for replication
• Familiarity with Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
• Experience with Oracle Web Logic or application server integration
• Scripting languages:
  Shell scripting (Bash), Python, or Perl
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Tivoli, Solar Winds)
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)

• Understanding of real estate domain and land department operations (preferred)
• Knowledge of government IT policies and procedures in UAE (preferred)
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISR compliance requirements
• Understanding of SLA management and vendor coordination
• Experience working with external vendors and managed services

• Experience taking over database management from external vendors
• Proven track record of database governance and establishing standards
• Experience in high-availability environments (99.9% uptime or higher)
• Capacity planning and growth management experience
• Experience with compliance audits and addressing audit findings
• Change management experience – following structured change control processes

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree (preferred but not mandatory)

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on Oracle database administration experience
• At least 3 years managing production databases in enterprise or government environments
• Experience with mission‑critical systems handling high transaction volumes (5,000+ daily transactions)
• Experience managing multiple database environments (Development, UAT, Production)
• Experience in 24/7 production support and on‑call duties

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Database Administrator (11g, 12c, or 19c) OR Oracle Certified Expert (OCE)

• Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
• Oracle Database Performance and Tuning
• Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) Certification
