We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Specialist responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, integrity, and reliability of enterprise data across systems and platforms. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks, along with expertise in Data Quality frameworks, ETL processes, and data governance practices.
The candidate should possess strong SQL skills, experience working in modern cloud data ecosystems, and exposure to enterprise data quality and governance tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce enterprise data quality standards and best practices.
- Use SQL to extract, analyze, profile, and validate data to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and quality issues.
- Design, develop, and maintain data quality rules, validation frameworks, monitoring processes, and reconciliation mechanisms.
- Build and support ETL/data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks.
- Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams to ensure high-quality, trusted data availability.
- Support metadata management, data lineage tracking, and data governance initiatives.
- Develop and maintain data quality dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms.
- Assist in data mapping, data inventory management, and documentation of operational processes.
- Ensure adherence to data governance policies and enterprise data management standards.
Mandatory Skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Databricks
- Strong SQL expertise for querying, profiling, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of:
- Data Quality Management
- Data Governance
- Data Lifecycle Management
- ETL Processes
- Data Modeling Concepts
- Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience working with cloud-based data ecosystems (Azure preferred).
Strongly Preferred Skills
- SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services) experience.
- Experience with one or more Data Quality / Data Governance tools:
- Collibra
- Informatica IDQ
- Microsoft Purview
- Alation
- Apache Atlas
- Talend
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Big Data technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Data Analytics
- Or a related technical field
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
